Yes, that's the founder. No, the handstands are non-negotiable.
Tech was never just a job. It was always the lens.
Twenty-five years in IT, programming, database architecture, and UX design, followed by fifteen years in education, then real estate, then running her own brokerage. On paper those look like three different careers. They were actually the same career with different scenery.
The through line was always the same question: why does this process work the way it does, and does it have to?
That principle, borrowed from systems design and lived out in every role, is the reason Sighthound Labs exists. When Janet got into real estate she found an industry full of cowpaths. Processes done the same way for decades, not because they worked well, but because nobody with the right technical background had ever been frustrated enough to fix them.
Then she got her own brokerage. The last excuse was gone.
So she built the tools herself. And then other brokers started asking where they could get them too.
Sighthounds (greyhounds, whippets, salukis) are built differently from other dogs. They have the widest field of peripheral vision of any animal, seeing nearly 270 degrees. They can spot movement a half mile away that nothing else has noticed yet.
But the thing that makes them remarkable isn't the vision. It's what happens next. Once they see it they lock on completely. They don't get distracted. They don't quit. They are, frankly, stubborn to the point of staying up all night to finish what they started.
That's the company. That's also a pretty accurate description of its founder.
Rosie and Skye, twin retired racing greyhounds born February 2017, had no input on the company name but are fully convinced the business runs on their schedule.
